Dear Facebook friends,

I am writing this only a few days from getting my parole from Facebook jail. I am by now familiar with the facility. The food sucks! My graffiti still adorns the walls of my cell from my first visit. I have violated community standards more often than Ron DeSantis has cruelly violated political norms for his own aggrandizement.  It is not against community standards to accuse former First Lady Obama of being a male or transgender or some other sexual dysphoria that MAGAts don't understand. But it is definitely against community standards to call the woman spreading that vicious lie the B-word. I am pretty sure of the fact of my accusation of her being that B-word. Her intemperate posts were a pretty good indication, i think. I am assuming the woman in question is a woman, though i can't be certain. I mean who falls for that appeal by a young women displaying her cleavage anymore?  She has a female name and Pic, but those could be false. She may also be a se...

GUIDELINES

I have violated too many hard and fast rules in my life. I now prefer to have behavioral guidelines, I don't feel guilty for transgressing them. Such guidelines as, old men near the incontinental divide should beware of wearing tan pants in public. Or, if by some magic,  government helps most of us, it is most likely led by Democrats. Or, it's best not to listen to a politicians advice on prayer or a preachers advice on voting. There are exceptions, but these general rules have become important in recent years.      Since about the 1980s we have been hearing about Dominionist Christianity. At first it hid in the shadows of evangelical Christianity, but it has emerged in full and potent force since obout the 2010s. Dominionism is a belief that Christians must, must, take control of government, business and culture in order for Jesus to return to Earth. Given the lack of tolerance exhibited by Dominionist Christians, it is not likely that these are ...

5O SHADES OF PRAY

We are hearing much these days about Domionism, a kind of Christian zealotry that believes that we should be ruled by Christian people whom God's has ordained as righteous leaders. How this word from God is being passed down is not well known. Some believe themselves direct conduits, but I'm not impressed. The Mango Mussilini is one of those "righteous leaders", still. Ron DeSantis is another. These Dominionist ambitions do not stop at our borders. They want a one-world Christianity. An oddity because one-world government is one of their great fears. In the Dominionist mind-set (I use mind in the broadest sense), the following areas of public life must be transformed to correspond to their world view: Education, Religion, Family, Business, Government/ Military, Arts and Entertainment, and Media. It should not be forgotten that there is no room for a countervailing opinion. This may sound despotic to some of you. Authoritarian, theocratic. It is not the secular in...
I grew up in a small community once known as the Berry Capital of the World. As a child I picked strawberries and Marion blackberries to buy my school clothes. If dad told us we were going to town, we were going shopping in Salem. If on rare occasions, he said we were going to the city, it meant we were driving to Portland. After high school graduation and two years of college where I learned more about Marijuana and psychodelics than the lessons i needed to study, I moved to Portland with 2 high-school friends who were living there and a college friend. We rented the main floor of a big house on 16th and Flanders, across from Radio Cab Company. A couple years later when there was an oil embargo by OPEC, this came in handy because we could buy gas from Radio Cab without waiting on odd-even days. It helped them to boost their fuel allotment. I worked an assortment of jobs from selling ladies shoes at The Shoe Shop at Charles F. Berg, a high-end women's clothing store,...
